Easter Sunday

Easter Sunrise Service

31
March
,
6:30am

Join us in Federal Hill Park for a simple service of witness to the Resurrection as the sun rises over Baltimore City, co-sponsored with Brown Memorial and Hunting Ridge Presbyterian Churches, and featuring the Resurrection String Band!

Stick around after the sunrise service for Mya Bilal’s delicious breakfast quiches, coffee, and other good eats in the Fellowship Hall.

Ariel Spindler leads the charge for another exciting Easter Egg hunt in the garden. There will be a hunt for toddlers and a hunt for older children and chocolate for all! Parent volunteers are much appreciated.

We will gather for 11am worship to celebrate Christ’s resurrection with Alleluias, Lilies, Gospel music, and a final Easter sermon from Tim Hughes Williams. If that weren’t enough, we’re also celebrating communion and baptizing Poppy Lee Wright. We hope you can join us for this special day.

All Are Welcome

Find community at Light Street Church.

Rooted.

We're rooted in the life & teachings of Jesus. We grow out of the Presbyterian Church (USA). And we're nurtured by 160 years of building community in the heart of Baltimore.

Progressive.

We believe God is always renewing & reconciling the world. We welcome all, regardless of race, class, gender, sexuality, age, or ability.

Creative.

We believe God speaks through scripture, as well as art, music, & laughter. We try not to take ourselves too seriously.

Who we are.

Light Street Church began in 1855 as a refuge for the children of Federal Hill factory workers. We’ve become a diverse community, open to all who walk through our doors.
